When HFD made entry the fire had progressed into the hidden space of two false ceilings. The initial attack line made entry and were driven back by intense heat and heavy smoke conditions. As larger handlines were deployed, the fire intensified and quickly took control of the structure.

Fire had progressed into the two false ceilings and had been rolling for about ten to fifteen minutes before notification.

The fire has progressed beyond what was initially anticipated. Fire fighters scramble to put master streams in to operation and to withdraw handlines.

The building is a loss. Buildings on the B and C side suffer minor smoke and water damage. There are
only two minor injuries. Madison County EMS, Madison County Sheriff's Dept., Huntsville Police, and mutual aid departments are awarded certificates of thanks.
